Merry Christmas

Firstly, best wishes to all for the festive season.

Favourite carols such as “Grandma got run over by a reindeer” have immortalised Santa’s DUI record. Our snap of another incident on the notoriously twisty Taihape mountain road may account for Santa’s delayed arrival this year.

Okay so we may have forgotten your present, but then you will have come to expect this. Somehow annual events seem to come around faster than we can keep up.

As for unexpected events, well…. a new link to the Waitings USA blog has been added. Another to Nat’s pics where Superman alias Dr Dave paid a visit to a town named after his new cape. At home, a new mast is on order … Eish Gogo…, who would have guessed that 25 knots could come undone?

Excitement builds locally for the World Flying Dutchman championships here in Napier in the New Year and the Laser Nationals later in New Plymouth. Even more excitement in Hastings as the bellies/skies are scanned to spot the flying Stork, and to top it all tickets to the Top Gear show coming to Auckland. The anticipation makes waiting times even better.

Ho.. ho.. ho...
